Qualification for foreign students living in Tokyo
The qualification confirmation of foreign students for the admission in April 2023 is to be conducted by MAIL in order to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 viruses. Please note that we will provide a set of application documents only for those who meet the qualification requirements.
Read “Qualification requirements of foreign students for the admission in April 2023”, “Required forms for the qualification confirmation of foreign students” and “FAQ from overseas” carefully and prepare all the necessary documents by downloading the forms from this page. Then send the application package according to the directions shown in “Regarding mailing”. It has to arrive at Tokyo Metropolitan Kokusai High School during the application receiving period shown below. Should you receive no information by January 27th regarding your qualification, let us know via e-mail (e-mail address to be found on the bottom of this page).
Meanwhile, the submission of the application will not be processed by mail. Please make sure to come to Tokyo Metropolitan Kokusai High School with the application documents on February 6th (9 a.m. ~ 3 p.m.) or 7th (9 p.m. ~ noon).

Please mail all the necessary documents. Do not bring them directly to school.
From October 17th, 2022 till November 25th, 2022
The application forms must arrive during this period.
Regarding mailing
- (1) Please make sure the package of necessary documents is sent to us with a tracking number such as Letter Pack service provides. Use the applicant’s name as a sender.
- (2) To those who currently live in foreign countries, please appoint a representative living in Japan and request him/her to send the necessary documents to our school. The representative can be anyone; a relative, a friend, or a coworker living in Japan.
- (3) Write “Envelope Contents: Application for the qualification confirmation of foreign students” on the envelope.
- (4) After the qualification confirmation, a certification of your qualification and a set of the application documents for the entrance examination will be sent back to the applicants or their representatives. For this purpose, applicants are requested to enclose an unused Letter Pack in addition to the necessary documents. The return Letter Pack has to show the name of the applicant as well as the name and address of the representative undergoing this process.
